THE PAST…
The year, 1301 B.C… the place, Tutankhamen’s Tomb in the Valley of the Kings. A robbery is underway by young peasants who have penetrated the secret location. Their noisy quarrelling over the fabulous loot rouses the guards who capture and interrogate them.
Menephta, overlord of Pharaoh Seti I, is baffled at how easily the tomb was discovered. He learns from the captives a way to make the tomb secure forever.
The year, 1922 A.D… the place, Tutankhamen’s Tomb as Carter and Lord Carnarvon break through and announce to the world the richest heritage ever unearthed from ancient Egypt.
THE PRESENT…
While holidaying in Cairo, young Egyptologist Erica Baron stumbles across a solid gold statue of Seti I hidden in an antique shop. Almost simultaneously the shop-owner, Abdu Hamdi, is brutally murdered and the statue stolen. Erica finds herself the victim of a vicious gang who are plundering a mysterious tomb.
Despite help from journalist Yvon Julie de Margeau and antiquities expert Ahmed Khazzan she soon realises that her very survival depends on locating the secret tomb whilst outwitting her enemies.
