Meet the greatest singing cowboy of them
all – Rex O’Herlihan (Tom Berenger). You know he’s a good guy, because he’s all dressed in white. He has a wardrobe consisting of 14 Designer cowboy suits, a dozen pairs of silver-tipped boots and at least 10 big hats. When he sings those awful songs, you know nobody can hold a candle to Rex. Hugh (Police Academy) Wilson directs this roller-coaster comedy of a Western, which brings Rex and his Palomino horse, Wildfire, into the town of Oakwood Estates – the tackiest town you ever saw! Town drunks, golden-hearted whores, railroad bosses and cattle barons with hundreds of hideous henchmen – all these and more, our Rex takes in his stride. And, at the end of it all, without giving too much away, is a glorious Hollywood sunset, just waiting to be ridden into.
