Three young American housewives (JAMIE LEE CURTIS, KAREN VALENTINE, LINDA PURL) all have one thing in common: they desperately need money. One to pay college fees for a new life, one to support a retarded son, one to break free of an ignorant and brutish husband.
To a common problem, they find the same answer: they become spare-time prostitutes under the control of a ruthless, amateur 'madam’ (SUSAN FLANNERY). It’s a course that leads to personal tragedy and social disgrace for them all. This taut, explicit film, based on real events, by director Robert Collins shows that life on Easy Street is anything but easy.
